Meet Tinkerbell

Tinkerbell is a very sweet senior girl who is looking for a calm, patient home where she can finally feel safe and learn that the world isn't so scary. New people and unfamiliar situations can be incredibly overwhelming for her, and when she's frightened, she tends to freeze completely. In new environments, she may be too nervous to play, eat, or interact right away and will need adopters who understand that building confidence takes time.

This gentle girl is also very sensitive to loud noises and may run when startled, making her a flight risk. Because of this, Tinkerbell will need to wear a properly fitted martingale collar with a harness safety clip whenever she is outside or being walked to help ensure her safety.

Despite her fears, Tinkerbell enjoys the company of other dogs and may benefit from having a calm, confident canine companion to help show her the ropes and provide reassurance.

Due to her nervous temperament, Tinkerbell is looking for a home with children 14 years and older who can respect her need for quiet, patience, and gentle interactions. She has not been tested with cats.

Tinkerbell would thrive in a quiet, understanding environment with a family willing to celebrate the little victories-whether that's taking a treat, going for a walk with confidence, or simply choosing to relax nearby. Watching a dog like Tinkerbell slowly come out of her shell and learn to trust is an incredibly rewarding experience.
